CoCoRaHS Network: Precipitation (2008-present)

CoCoRaHS (Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow) is a network of individuals and organizations that gather and report information on precipitation events across the U.S. The University of Kansas Field Station is a participant in this network. Field Station staff members measure precipitation events and report these to the CoCoRaHS network. A "standard can" gauge located near the Armitage Education Center is the official site for Field Station measurements of precipitation.

Precipitation data for the Field Station are available at the CoCoRaHS website. The Field Station site is in extreme southeastern Jefferson County (Kansas), about 6.8 miles north-northeast of Lawrence, and is designated as "KS-JF-2."
