Information Theory Metrics and Land-Atmosphere Interactions

Summary

In this research, I am using a wavelet based information theory approach that I developed for many different applications. I've used this to look at the impacts of different spatial and temporal scales of soil moisture, vegetation and radiative forcing on latent heat flux, as well as quantifying the flow of "information" from precipitation into soil moisture into vegetation. Currently, I'm working on linking this formulation to maximum entropy production to provide a thermodynamic framework for the methodology.
